The set will feature the first Tera Pokemon Ex of unusual types, including Charizard Ex (Darkness), Tyranitar Ex (Lightning), Eiscue Ex, and Vespiquen Ex. These Tera Pokemon Ex will use the same energy as their regular types, but will have a weakness different to match their quirky types. For example, Charizard Ex will be a darkness card with attack costs to fire and a weakness to grass (dark types are weak to grass to represent bug).

The set will also include a Tera Dragonite Ex (dragon), Tera Greedent Ex (colorless), Revavroom ex, Melmetal Ex, and Toedscruel Ex. Like in the video games, many Tera Pokémon are still one of their original types .

Obsidian Flames will appear:

• More than 190 cards
• 15 Pokemon Ex and six Tera Pokemon Ex
• 12 Rare Pokemon Illustration
• Six special Pokémon illustrations and supporter cards
• 12 Ultra Rare EX Pokémon and Supporters in Full Growth
• More than 15 training cards
• Three cards engraved in super rare gold
